So Busy...

Just a note to let you know that we have been busy helping my daughter Kate get ready for the opening of her shop The Paper Sparrow. It looks great down there, but it also looks like every free minute we have will go to help her prepare for the big day! She hopes to be open for her first full day of business on Friday, 4/25, which also happens to be the city of Troy's monthly celebration of the businesses in downtown, called Friday Night Out. I promise to take lots of photos and post them here as soon as possible! Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Thank you ladies...There is a post on the way about the opening of my daughter's shop on Friday night. It was a wonderful success! My daughter worked so hard to make this a reality, and i am SO proud of her! More to come!!! Sara, the Paper Sparrow is a shop that holds handmade art in the form of clothing, jewelry, pottery, paintings, dolls and toys....She will be offering different things in season too, like fresh local honey, free range chicken eggs(i usually gobble them all up! ;)homemade cookies and breads by the slice, and maybe even locally made pies. There will be fresh cut flowers available too when she can get them...
Thank you so much for your comments on my paintings. I love to paint, and am getting ready to branch out into other mediums and to do more collage work too.

beautiful paintings... your crafting skills are quite varied... I'm enjoying seeing your projects, and home life pics. (there never are enough hours to do everything we want, are there?) I hope the store opening was successful! Thanks for visiting my blog, and for your comments!

Thank you very much for your kind comments. I enjoy your blog too and check in on you every day! You are right-there are never enough hours to get it all done-especially if you are as scattered in your interests as i am! hahaha
The "soft" opening of the shop was wonderful! We did a steady business all evening. Soon the "official" Grand Opening and ribbon cutting ceremony by the local mayor will take place and hopefully that will go as well too!
