Getting Ready for the Big Day!

I'm spending the weekend getting things ready to go into my daughter Kate's shop

I just finished these crocheted flowers to adorn little jumpers sewn by my daughter to go into her shop

And I'm getting ready to tag this bale of turtles sunning themselves on the deck

Here is a closeup of one of the little girl turtles! They were made on a flower hand loom.

And this is Abbie Bunny. She is a little fuzzy lop rabbit i made on my hand loom. She is one of many little dolls made on the looms here. I hope she makes someone happy!

I'm very happy with her and i think she looks happy too!

Those turtles are so cute. I have a loom but have never tried it. This is incentive to pull it out and at least read the instructions:)

All very cute! Good luck getting things set, I'm sure it's going to be a huge success. When is her Grand Opening exactly?

Good morning friends,
Thanks so much for the positive comments on my toys. Sara, the hand looms are those "Knifty Knitter" looms you see in all craft shops and even in some Walmart stores. I LOVE them. I find i mostly use the smaller ones to make baby hats and booties, the guinea pigs, turtles and the dolls. I am not a very good knitter (so far) and the looms are easy on my arthritis. I will take some pictures of the looms soon and post them. Helen, i would say go for it! I took the looms out of the plastic bags and read the simple instructions and i haven't put them down for very long since! (I love crocheting the most)Murray, i was with Katie last night and we were tagging and pricing everything. Today she is setting up a few more jewelry cases. The place is going to look GREAT when she is done. I am sure we will both post pictures. The Grand Opening is this Friday, and the ribbon cutting may take place next weekend sometime. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

I love the fuzzy bunny, aww. :) The turtles remind me of my sister - she's always been drawn to them, a totem probably. Looking forward to hearing about the opening.
