Autumn in New York

My sister Nancy is home for a visit, to attend my daughter Carly's wedding and for a family reunion. So today Mom, Katie and i took her for a ride to an old familiar place we used to visit when we were younger and our kids were small. It's called Fo'Castle Farms....
It's the kind of place you love to visit this time of year. They have an apple stand and cider press right out in front of the store, and there are pumpkins stacked high and potted mums everywhere you look. The foliage is just starting to turn, and there was a chill in the air...There was a bit of rain too. But that only added to the charm of the day.
Across the street from the Farm is a perrennial farm.

Once we went inside, we grabbed some lunch. Here is an old coffee grinder in the dining room. We all had hot chowder, sandwiches and hot mulled apple cider, all made right there in the kitchen. But the real beauty was outside

Just Beautiful....

Wow - What a cool place. It's like that place is the definition of Autumn! Our leaves are just starting to change down here too. I'm planning Thanksgiving already, LOL. I'm a sucker for the season.

I just made a few hats myself!

Lovely, I wish I could visit. It will never look like that in Southern California!

Yes, a great trip indeed. Can't wait until they're all decorated for Christmas. That's the best.

Nothing says "Fall" like fresh-pressed apple cider and pumpkins... looks like it was a beautiful autumn day, and a really neat place to spend it!

Yes, it is a beautiful little place to visit. So charming, and always decorated for the season or next holiday. It reminds me of my Grandmother Mary. She would have loved it there. Thanks for stopping by and posting everyone! And CM, i'll have to check out those new hats! Seems i am addicted to making hats lately too!
