Master bedroom with kitchen cabinet boxes. If you look closely, the queen sized bed is squished underneath the big horizontal box in the forefront....
Entrance...errrr, lack of entrance to living room....
Boxes piled high in the old office before rehab. You can't keep two computer addicts away from their computer for very long....
more boxes in the torn out kitchen...but at least this one belonged in the kitchen!
The small bath..... The second time we had to move out was because all the carpets were torn up, and the hardwood floors were patched in and refinished. We had to cover everything and get out for the major sanding job and the poly took days to put down and dry... As you can see, we've been thru a lot and got a ton of work done. But it took us three long years to get this far, and i am so DONE! I must have at least a pound of plaster dust laying in the bottom of my lungs! Anyway, we are just out of the house this time for the night time hours and early mornings so that we can actually sleep in a bed and use the facilities...I'll be checking in on all my favorite blogs for a visit!

But what about before and after shots of your studio?
Well, we didn't have to move out for the upstairs work...And now that i am ripping out and reorganizing the yarn storage area, and still haven't got the painting table sorted out yet, it doesn't look much different from the time when it was all torn up! ;)I do plan to take after shots tho...Maybe once we move back in and everything is back to "normal"...whatever that is!
I am a firm believer in paying for convenience!
Enjoy the good sleep in a clean place - I know how valuable that is. Plus heck, the hotel might be kind of fun for a few days. Change of scene!
Awwww.. poor thing, I know you'll be glad when everything is back to normal!
Where is Safou and your fur kids staying?
Well CM, speaking of hotels....the one we are staying at has gone downhill too and we had nothing but great things to say about it the last few times we needed a home away from home. The trouble is, they have sold the building and are moving to new digs. So the new owners (Ramada) haven't taken over yet, and the old owners (Holiday Inn) could care less about this old place....We are still trying to get somebody to come into the room and fix the sink so we have some water...any water, out of the faucets! And this is their handicapped accessible room....So much for looking at this as a sort of vacation!
Hi Paula,
All of the critters are just fine...not happy about the changes while they are taking place, but fine. Safou has decided he doesn't like our contractor Pokey, and when he (the contractor) comes out into the kitchen, Safou starts to growl like a dog and then screams to the top of his ...well...air sacs...and it sounds like someone is getting murdered in the kitchen!!! He screamed so loud today while i was feeding my granddaughter, she got hysterical and there was no consoling her. Now SHE is afraid of both Safou and Pokey! This could be interesting....
No bunking up at your lovely daughter's house? Hope the hotel gets your water sorted! Otherwise, I'd agree with City Mouse, try to enjoy it! I'm trying to figure out where I should shower tomorrow. Baths are for the birds, I can't wait until we can take a shower again!
Can't wait to see your pics!
Sorry you had such an interesting experience at the temp-home. Ugh. Where has customer service gone?!
Hey - do you have an Etsy shop? I thought you did, and now I can't find it. Let me know and I'll link to it on the craft blog!
Hi CM,
No Etsy shop...yet...Maybe this Fall. With all that is going on now, not much crafting or art work is getting done...Once things slow down tho, and i do put a shop up, i would love it if you would link me up! ;) Thanks my friend...
PS- we finally have water at the hotel...
