Something new for Safou

I usually take my garden clogs off at the back door and leave them in the hall for the next time i need to slip them on. But the other day i took them off inside the kitchen door, and  left them there. I was sitting at the table and noticed that Safou had arranged them in the front of the cabinet by the door. He likes to find little nooks and crannies to hole up in and make a little nesting area.(Behind the toilet in the small bathroom is his other favorite place to hang out. He likes to scare the stuffins out of anyone who doesn't know he is in there and wants to use the facilities. ;) Anyway, i noticed him doing a little "ritual" over and over again and was able to catch it with my camera. Lucy noticed too.(See how she doesn't trust that beak near her tail???) ...Now if i can only get him recorded while he is singing and talking a blue streak...

What a cute video, I love parrots they are such little characters. How long have you had Safou? He is enjoying his little task there - maybe not so good for your toes if you aren't expecting stones in there :) love it!

Morning Lynne! Safou came to live with us in 1991, when he was a year old hand fed baby. He is perpetually locked in the terrible twos! He can be sweet and charming, and he can pitch a terrible tantrum or destroy your woodwork in a blink of an eye. I can't get too angry with him for that. It's what parrots do. I hope to get some video of him singing or talking. He loves to whistle songs he makes up too. He definitely is a character!
