Meet Cornelius, my first knitted bear(He is named after my Grandfather Keefe)
He's only about 7 inches tall from head to toe
But he is a handsome fellow
He has thread and button joints, and is far from perfect.
But i like him just the way he is, and i am happy with the way he turned out for my first bear!Onward and upward!

Thank You CM!I got this pattern from a book i got at Border's Books, called The Knitted Teddy Bear by Sandra Polley. It is the Beginner's Bear pattern. There are about a dozen patterns in the book, all very nice, but still a little intimidating for me at this point. This simple pattern is all rectangles and squares, and easy enough to sew up. And i am experimenting with different kinds of yarn, different sized needles and color too.
I think he is absolutely stunning Mare! Reallly I think he is so beautiful and to me he is perfect, he couldn't be better.
