Bead For Life

I just found this amazing organization called Bead For Life. I ordered a few bags of loose beads from them and they arrived today. i LOVE them. Check out their website and let me know if you've heard of them or have ordered from them. The stories of the women who make these beads are incredible... It's amazing how much beauty can be created with so little...

Thanks for posting that. I might get some for my mom, she makes jewelry. What a great find!

Morning Lola Nova! I am planning to make tons of stuff with these beads. And i may buy a necklace for myself ready made too. The beads are very light weight, and not as brightly colored as you would think. I can fit 20 gage wire (stretched) thru most of the bead holes. The beads are made of colored scrap paper and then varnished, so there are a few rough pieces in the bag, but it is easy enough to smooth them out. What i liked most about this is, they sent tags i can include with the pieces i make about the organization who provided the beads. I think it's a great way to help someone feed their family, get material to work with and advertise the organization too. If you get a chance, read some of the stories of the bead makers...What incredibly strong women...

Hi Mare-

Thank you for your support and for being a part of the Bead Circle! I love that you mentioned the tags that go with the loose beads. It's a nice way for the beaders to be acknowledged for their beautiful work.

Thanks again,

Ashley from BeadforLife
