I made this little crocheted Amigurumi bunny for my sister in law, Annie. Annie has Alzheimer's Disease, is non verbal and gets around in a wheelchair now. My brother was trying to think of what to get her for Easter, when i told him i would make her a doll.I think she will like this little bunny as it has baby like features and has no pieces that can come off and cause her harm. 
As for me, i'm not sure about this amigurumi stuff...I need to either use thicker yarn, or a smaller crochet hook, as the spaces between my crochet stitches are too big. I got this sweet, simple pattern for free on the Lion Brand Yarn website. There are TONS of free knit and crochet pattern there for you to check out.
