Day 2, Saturday, the art gallery was open from 10:00 in the morning until 8:00pm. So the visitors were more spread out during the day. This gave me plenty of time to meet and talk with the other artists and take some more pictures. For me, the church itself was definitely part of the art display. Look at those stained glass windows...
There were some lovely felted sculptures by guest artist Sharon Costello. Everybody loved these whimsical figures! Click on the picture to enlarge it so you can see the characters better.
There were some beautiful paintings, prints, photographs, and even some frescos displayed
Guest Artist miChelle M. Vara displayed her welded sculptures Big and small...i fell in love with her art(and her)
the altar
more window beauty
more of the altar
and the organ loft, which still has the organ and all of it's pipes
i had such a nice time visiting with friends and family, neighbors and guests. Here is a picture of one special visitor who had a great time at the show. She walked up on the altar, and locked herself into the old confessional, and asked "is this a jail?" Hmmmmmm...
She wore her rhinestone tiara especially for the show and everyone loved it.
i was able to cut some of my peonies before the hard rain that fell all weekend got the best of them. They perfumed the auction table.
and a vase of my cut roses "New Dawn" and "Bonica" sat at the base of the altar on the opposite side.
Towards the end of the day i stood on the altar and took these pictures. The three people in the center of this picture are Fred Neudoerffer(left) miChelle M Vara(center) and Dave Koschnick(right) Thank you Fred and Dave. They organized, pulled together, set up, ran, and took down the whole show. I hope next year i will be more helpful...
The show was a huge success! I hope the owners of the church, Dan and Jennifer O'Neill invite us back again next year, and i am sure we will be bigger and better than ever!
(PS- Just found out, we are having the show in the church next year! Hurray!!!)

Sharon Costello's felt sculptures are fantastic, I was smitten with them all.
The stained glass windows are so beautiful, you could just stare at them forever.
If there's anything I love it's precocious little girls (having been one myself) - 'is this jail', LOL!
It must have been such a fun weekend.
Love to you, Lynne x
